Difficult Concepts Made Simple

Hi, I’m Alec, a physics PhD student at Stanford University who loves to teach. My interactive teaching style is custom-tailored to each student, emphasizing the development of strong fundamentals and a deep understanding of the subject. With over four years of experience, I’ve successfully tutored students from elementary school to college seniors, helping them achieve top grades while igniting their enthusiasm for math.

Me at Stanford

My Story

After a rare autoimmune condition forced me into homeschool, I was fortunate to cross paths with two UCSD professors who became my mentors. Their guidance allowed me to accelerate my education significantly, enabling me to audit calculus at the age of 11 and gain admission to UC Berkeley at just 14. Graduating magna cum laude, I continued my academic journey at Stanford’s applied physics PhD program, where I now conduct research in theoretical physics. My transformative journey has inspired me to pay it forward by teaching, equipping students of all backgrounds to excel in physics and math
